Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this website or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it corrected.
The short version
- We collect your details when you choose to send them — through the enquiry form, a calculator result, an email or a phone call.
- We use them to answer you, quote the work, and carry out and report on the job. Nothing else.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
- Our website records the ordinary technical information every website records, and uses analytics to see which pages are read.
- You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we are not required to keep it.
This summary is here to be readable. The sections below are what actually applies.
Who we are
This website is operated by Dravsnik Investments Pty Ltd, trading as Highpoint Solutions (ABN 15 613 607 686), of Eumundi, Sunshine Coast, Queensland. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business, and “you” means anyone who uses this website or contacts us through it.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Almost everything we hold about you is something you chose to send us. There are two kinds.
Information you give us
- Enquiry and quote forms — your name, company, email address, phone number, the site address or suburb, the service you need, your timing, and whatever you write in the details field.
- Calculator results — if you use one of the tools on our tools page and choose to send the result to us, the figures you entered are included in that message so we can quote against them.
- Anything you attach or send — photographs, drawings, previous inspection reports, and site documents you provide so we can scope or carry out work.
- Correspondence — emails and phone calls, and the records of work we have done for you.
The calculators themselves run entirely in your browser. Moving a slider sends nothing to us; only pressing the button that sends a result does.
Information collected automatically
- Log data recorded by our hosting provider — see Log data below.
- Analytics about which pages are visited and for how long — see Cookies and analytics.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To carry out the inspection, testing or remedial work you engage us for, and to issue the report.
- To keep records of work performed, which for inspection and testing may need to be retained and produced later.
- To meet our obligations under work health and safety, licensing and taxation law.
- To understand which parts of this website are useful, so we can improve them.
If you do not give us the information a form asks for, we may not be able to quote or carry out the work — but you are never obliged to use a form. The phone number and email address on our contact page reach us just as well.
Log data
Like every website, ours records technical information sent by your browser each time a page is requested. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visited, the time and date, and how long you spent on each page.
We use this to keep the site working and secure, and to diagnose faults. We do not use it to try to identify you personally.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and for as long as the law requires us to.
In practice, enquiries that do not become work are kept only while they are still current. Records relating to work we have carried out — inspection reports, test results, correspondence about a job — are kept considerably longer, because they may be needed to demonstrate what was found on a site and when.
When information is no longer needed and we are not required to retain it, we destroy or de-identify it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This site is served only over an encrypted connection.
No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email ua.moc.snoitulostniophgih@nimda or call 1300 851 842.
We will need to be satisfied of your identity before we release anything. We aim to respond within 30 days. If we refuse a request we will tell you why in writing.
Links to other sites
This site links to websites we do not operate — standards bodies, certification schemes, suppliers and similar. If you follow one of those links you leave our site, and this policy stops applying. We have no control over those sites and take no responsibility for their content or their handling of your information, so it is worth reading their own privacy policies.
Children's privacy
Our services are provided to businesses, body corporates and property owners. This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first — email ua.moc.snoitulostniophgih@nimda with the details and we will investigate and respond in writing.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date it was last changed is shown at the top. Changes take effect when they are published here.
