Wall-thickness survey of elevated process piping. No scaffold, no shutdown, readings and corrosion map issued next day.
NDT · Rope accessQLDCoded welding repairs to a live storage silo shell, completed via rope access with no dismantling and no crane.
Welding · FabricationQLDConcrete cancer and render remediation across a coastal residential tower. Residents kept balcony access throughout.
RemedialSunshine CoastYears of intermittent ingress traced to failed sealant joints, repaired from rope in two site days.
Leak detection · RepairBrisbaneHydraulic leak on a platform crane boom, inspected and repaired at height without demobilising the crane. Access rigged from the boom structure.
Marine inspection · NDTOffshoreLED flood and high-bay fittings installed and electrical repairs carried out at height, without scaffold or a plant shutdown.
Electrical · Rope accessQLDSpring hangers set high in the plant structure where no platform reaches, accessed on rope for inspection and correct adjustment — pipe clamps and supports checked and tightened on the same descent.
Mechanical · Rope accessPower stationWelding repairs to plant steelwork carried out in place on rope, with fume extraction and fire watch, rather than cutting the section out and sending it to a workshop.
Welding · Rope accessQLDA three-tonne monorail taken off the crane onto chain blocks, then manoeuvred into position and bolted up by the rope access team. Twin monorails, each running an electric winch, lifted the silo sections into place from there.
Rigging · Rope accessQLDStructural crack injection and render reinstatement across a commercial façade, no scaffold hire.
RemedialSunshine CoastFailed balcony membranes traced by moisture mapping, then stripped and re-waterproofed under QBCC licence with warranty.
Leak rectification · QBCCSunshine Coast140 boards surveyed for an insurer-mandated condition report. Eleven major discrepancies found, three fire-risk.
ThermographyBrisbaneA corrosion management program required wall-thickness readings across an elevated process pipe rack. Conventional access meant scaffold design, erection and dismantling around live plant — roughly two weeks before a single reading.
An IRATA-supervised crew rigged from the rack structure and completed the UTT survey at every designated test location, with corrosion mapping on the worst-affected spools. Readings were logged against the client's asset register and issued the following business day.
Full survey delivered in two shifts with no shutdown and no scaffold. Two spools flagged below minimum allowable thickness and scheduled for replacement in the next outage.
Most jobs start with a phone call and a photo. If it's a leak, a hot board or something you can't get to, we'll tell you straight away whether we're the right people for it.
